ADAC Prototype Cup Germany, MSC Weingarten's Hockenheimring race weekend
The „home“ race of GEBHARDT Motorsport and its four racing drivers from the region at the ADAC Prototype Cup Germany at the Hockenheimring had pretty much everything a race weekend can hold. Joy and sorrow were close together. The Art Car with starting number 80, the Duqueine D08 with the Belgian Maxim Dirickx at the wheel, skidded off the track in the first Sunday race. While the 19-year-old decided against starting in the final race in the afternoon due to safety reasons, his car was repaired in time. Jacob Erlbacher from Böblingen unexpectedly replaced his team-mate as a soloist and secured valuable points for the championship by finishing fifth. The championship leading team of the traditional racing stable from Sinsheim remained in the title race with two podium finishes on Sunday. Markus Pommer from Heilbronn and Valentino Catalano from Westheim in the Palatinate were pleased with a second and a third place. Michael Herich (Brühl) and Sven Barth (Eberbach) came in both Sunday races with the # 90 over the distance.

Another 36 championship points: title defender Markus Pommer (33) and ‘Vale’ Catalano (18) collected kilometres in the lead and were able to have two podium "champaign showers"..
Hot and humid laps with the Ginetta G61 in the historic MOMO design: a good fifth place in Sunday's morning race was the highlight for the experienced and popular Barth/Herich.
Back in the competition with reserve bonnets: the pit crew led by Carl David Jennings emphasised at the Motodrom in Baden that teamwork is the number one success factor. Three 55-minute races in intense heat posed a particular challenge.
‘We are still in the title race,’ said team owner Fritz Gebhardt. ’We have experienced a lot during this Racing Weekend – yellow flags, a race interruption and repairs. The latter was handled well by our experienced team in every situation.’
