Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Sinsheim. It is a milestone in the more than 50 years of GEBHARDT Motorsport's history from Sinsheim in Baden: On Sunday afternoon, starting pilot Valentino Catalano and final driver Markus Pommer crowned their masterpiece in the ADAC Prototype Cup Germany with a never-threatened third place at the Sachsenring. They finished the season as the new champions in both the drivers' and the team standings: the maximum possible success for the racing driver duo from Heilbronn and Westheim in the Palatinate. Team manager Fritz Gebhardt quoted an old Abba song in his hour of triumph: “The winner takes it all.”

‘I would like to thank my successful drivers, my great team, and all the friends, partners and fans who have kept their fingers crossed for us,’ said Fritz Gebhardt, drawing a satisfied conclusion. ‘At the end of a long journey, we have achieved our goal – at least on this platform. That makes us proud and happy.’ In October, the new championship team is planning a trip to the United States with the two Duqueine D08s. “We have a long tradition in IMSA racing, and we want to build on that now,” says Fritz Gebhardt.
