Emma Wigroth, Enja Rössler and Jasmin Fiedler – three fast women are shaking up the field in this year’s Velom Sportscar Supercup powered by Interwetten SCC.
Motorsport is normally a distinctly male-dominated sport, but at this year’s Velom Sportscar Supercup powered by Interwetten SCC, no fewer than three fast women will be lining up on the starting grid. Emma Wigroth will be driving a Duqueine D08 fielded by GEBHARDT Motorsport and competing under the WestCoast Racing banner, Enja Rössler will be at the wheel of a Ligier JS53 from Rennsport Rössler, and Jasmin Fiedler will be behind the wheel of a Fiedler Racing Tatuus.
Swedish driver Emma Wigroth will be making her debut in prototype racing at Hockenheim. In recent years, she has secured victories in Swedish motorsport and became the first woman to win a race in the Formula Nordic. GEBHARDT Motorsport from Sinsheim recognised her talent following tests and accepted her into their Gebhardt Young Driver Academy. She will be driving a state-of-the-art P3 car, a Duqueine D08, at Hockenheim.

“I had the pleasure of visiting the team in December to explore opportunities for the future. The dynamic within the team was fantastic right from the start, and it is an honour to be part of GEBHARDT Motorsport,” explains Emma Wigroth. “Driving an LMP3 car is a dream come true. It’s a new challenge for me, but I’m ready to give it my all and develop as a driver together with the team. “Our first race together will take place at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel. I see a bright future at GEBHARDT Motorsport, as the team is giving me the right tools to develop as a racing driver both on and off the track.”
Motorsport was in Enja Rössler’s blood from the start; her mother Susanne competed in hillclimbs, whilst Thomas Rössler also raced on the hills, but was also able to win races and championships on the circuit in Formula 3. “What’s special is that my father raced against Emanuel Pedrazza in the SCC over 20 years ago. Today, I’m competing in the series myself,” says Rössler – who works as a freelance motorsport communications specialist – with a smile. Rössler’s dream has always been to be actively involved in motorsport. A few years ago, she completed a test programme in a Formula 4 car, which was halted by the coronavirus pandemic and effectively put her dream on hold for the time being.

“When I heard about the fantastic programme that the SCC is organising with GEBHARDT Motorsport and Interwetten, we decided at very short notice to continue on the motorsport path. We only picked up the car a few weeks ago. I haven’t really been able to clock up many kilometres yet, as the car has been rebuilt. Of course, I’m lacking a bit of experience and routine here: but that’s just how it is – learning by doing,” concluded Rössler.
Jasmin Fiedler brings significantly more experience to the table, having entered the sport in 2007 through her husband Andreas. After initially competing in rallies with a BMW E30, she switched to circuit racing with an Opel Manta and later moved into sports car racing. In 2020, she became the overall champion in the SCC. She finished as runner-up in Division 2 in 2017 and 2021.

Fiedler views the fact that two more women – Emma Wigroth and Enja Rössler – are competing in the Velom Sportscar Supercup powered by Interwetten SCC as very positive. “As a woman, you’re greatly admired for your performance when you’re right up there among the men. The fact that there are now two more women competing is interesting for me, as I can measure myself against them and not just against men,” explains the experienced driver.
This year’s Velom Sportscar Supercup powered by Interwetten SCC will take place as part of the ADAC Hockenheim Historic (8–10 May). A total of 25 sports cars feature on the provisional entry list and are set to make for a spectacular field of competitors.
