25 cars, including nine P3 prototypes, will compete in the 2026 Velom Sportscar Supercup supported by Interwetten – SCC as part of the ADAC Hockenheim Historic.
This year’s edition of the Velom Sportscar Supercup supported by Interwetten – SCC will feature a spectacular line-up. No fewer than 25 prototypes, ranging from modern Generation 1 and 2 P3 prototypes to the brutal Can-Am behemoths of the 1960s and 1970s with engine capacities of up to 10,000 cc.
One of the best-known names in the field is undoubtedly Christian Klien. The former Formula 1 driver, who competed in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans in works cars from Peugeot and Aston Martin, will contest the entire Interwetten SCC season in a nimble PRC WPR66. Klien will act as a motorsport expert for Interwetten this year, which has also enabled him to compete in the sports car series.

GEBHARDT Motorsport, which will be competing under the West Coast Racing banner with two Duqueine D08 P3 prototypes, demonstrates that the promotion of young talent will also play a major role. With Emma Wigroth and Jérémy Siffert – the grandson of Jo Siffert – two young drivers from the Gebhardt Young Driver Academy will be competing. Siffert will share his car with Michael Herich, who has P3 experience. “I am very pleased with my two test drives and grateful for the support Gebhardt Motorsport has given me. The move to P3 is a major challenge, so I remain humble and am aware of the challenges ahead. I have made great progress, and with the team’s support, I am confident that we will achieve further improvements in the race,” explains Emma Wigroth, who will make her P3 racing debut at the ADAC Hockenheim Historic.
Wigroth is not the only female driver in the Velom Sportscar Supercup supported by Interwetten – SCC field, as two other fast women, Jasmin Fiedler and Enja Rössler, will also be competing. Jasmin Fiedler will be driving a Fiedler Racing Tatuus at the Hockenheimring. Enja Rössler, the daughter of motorsport veteran Thomas Rössler, will be driving a Ligier JS 53 from Rennsport Rössler.
No fewer than nine cars will compete in the Pro/1-P3 class, proving that the Velom Sportscar Supercup supported by Interwetten – SCC is the worthy successor to the Prototype Cup Germany, which is due to be discontinued at the end of 2025. Renowned drivers such as Austrian racing legend Franz Konrad (Konrad Motorsport/Ligier JS P320) and ADAC GT Masters race winner Sven Barth (Barth Racing/Ginetta G61) have entered the event.

In the Classik class, historic CanAm cars will face off against historic CN sports cars. A mix that will delight sports car fans from past decades. Georg Hallau will be taking his 10,000cc Lola T70 to the starting grid. He will be joined by other CanAm cars driven by Axel Pilz (McLaren M6B), Hans Jürgen Erdbrügger (Lola T165) and Peter Schleifer (McLaren M8F).
The two fast women, Fiedler and Rössler, will face a former World Championship driver in the Open/2 class: Former WTCC driver Diego Romanini will be at the wheel of a brand-new PRC TN 24. Romanini was Austrian Formula 3 champion in 2001 and 2003 before competing in various touring car championships, including the World Championship.
Another highlight is the red and yellow MOMO Gebhardt Porsche 962, bearing start number 30, which will return to the grid after a lengthy break, driven by Michael Lyons, the series winner of the Sports Car Supercup at Hockenheim. Lyons will set fast lap times in the legendary Group C prototype.
A total of 25 cars from four classes of the Velom Sportscar Supercup supported by Interwetten – SCC will compete in the two half-hour races on 9 May at 16:25 and on 10 May at 15:40. A Le Mans atmosphere and a thunderous soundtrack are guaranteed!
