GEBHARDT Motorsport concluded the Interwetten Sports Car Challenge season in Brno with four podium finishes.
The circuit was uncharted territory for both drivers. Changeable weather conditions and intermittent rain also made it difficult to get to grips with the Brno circuit. A further challenge was that the Interwetten Sports Car Challenge shared the circuit with the Czech GT Cup Series, meaning that some slower GT cars were on the track alongside the SCC’s sports cars and prototypes.
In the first race, Jérémy Siffert finished second in the Pro/1 class, whilst his team-mate Wigroth followed behind him in third place. Emma Wigroth lost a fair bit of time during the race when she got stuck behind slower GT cars and had to laboriously work her way past them.
On Sunday, it was a repeat performance for GEBHARDT Motorsport. Jérémy Siffert, the grandson of motorsport legend Jo Siffert, finished second in the class. The young Swedish driver Emma Wigroth followed in third place in the highly competitive Pro/1 category.
The title in the Interwetten Sports Car Challenge at Brno was clinched by veteran driver Sven Barth, who has enjoyed a friendly relationship with GEBHARDT Motorsport for many years and has competed for the team on numerous occasions. Barth secured the victory in a Ginetta G61-LT-P3, which he purchased from GEBHARDT Motorsport. Furthermore, the long-established sports car team from Sinsheim supported Barth in fielding his Ginetta G61.
Emma Wigroth finished the racing season in a strong third place in the overall Interwetten Sports Car Challenge standings and took second place in the Pro/1 class, where she was beaten only by the overall champion, Barth. Jérémy Siffert followed in fourth place in the overall standings and third in the class standings.

We are also very pleased with the performance of our junior drivers throughout the season! Emma and Jérémy have improved significantly over the year, which makes us proud. We are now working on joint programmes for the coming year and will announce them once they are finalised,” said team owner Fritz Gebhardt.
