GEBHARDT Motorsport is heading to the Red Bull Ring for the third race weekend of the Interwetten Sports Car Challenge.
Alpine flair for GEBHARDT Motorsport. The team is heading to the Red Bull Ring for the third race weekend of the Interwetten Sports Car Challenge, which is taking place as part of the Red Bull Ring Classics. The team will field two Duqueine D08 for GEBHARDT Young Driver Academy drivers Emma Wigroth and Jérémy Siffert.
The team’s two cars will compete in the Pro 1 class, where they recently delivered strong results at the Nürburgring. Both Wigroth from Sweden and Siffert from Switzerland finished second in one race each. Ahead of the third round of the season in Styria, Emma Wigroth occupies third place in the overall standings of the traditional sports car series, which equates to second place in the class. Jérémy Siffert is currently in seventh place.

The event on the Grand Prix circuit in Styria is set to attract large crowds to the 4.326-kilometre track, and several Austrian motorsport legends have already confirmed their attendance. The SCC’s guest appearance as part of the Red Bull Ring Classics also marks the start of the series’ crucial phase of the season, as only one further race weekend – in Brno, in the Czech Republic – remains after the Austrian round.

“Emma and Jérémy have already shown significant improvement in the SCC races so far; the racing experience and the thrilling battles in the series are helping them to learn as many of the fundamentals of prototype racing as possible and prepare them for the next steps on the career ladder. We’re already looking forward to everything we’ll be doing together with them. For the two races at the Red Bull Ring, we hope to build on the strong results from the Nürburgring,” said team boss Fritz Gebhardt.

The Interwetten Sports Car Challenge will contest two 25-minute sprint races as part of the Red Bull Ring Classics. These will start on Saturday at 17:30 and on Sunday at 14:00 o´clock. Both races can be watched via the event’s official livestream.
